Video: BMW i3 Special Concept Launched at 2015 CES

Allmost every major carmaker has brought its concept cars at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, and now it was time for the BMW German based carmaker to release its i3 Special Concept model, which brings a lot of interesting features and innovation in terms of safety.

But what innovations are we talking about? Well, after the release of the BMW M4 Coupe with laser headlights, this time the BMW i3 Special Concept has brought the notion of safety far behind. We are talking here about the model being equipped with ”on-board laser scanners” which scan the environment for important information, concerning safe parking or any time the car detects a possible collision with another car.

More than that, when you want to leave the parking lot, all you have to do is to call it through your smartwatch and the Remote Valet Parking Assistant inside will automatically start the car and head it towards your direction.

In terms of the collision avoidance system, the feature will automatically detect any vehicles or objects that might present a danger to yourself and will automatically steer around and eventually stop.

Of course that these technology might be possible to implement on the future BMW models, but unfortunately, we will have to wait for another couple of years until they have passed the efficiency tests.
