BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage New Rendering Released

BMW has launched the 3.0 CSL Hommage concept at the 2015 Concorso d`Eleganza Villa d`Este, Italy, a couple of days back and the model was already the subject of a rendering, signed by Tobias Hornof.

The rendering is showcasing the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage from a distinctive point of view, the model giving up some of its body elements, like the oversized kidney grille or the more aggressive overall look. Now, the 3.0 CSL Hommage looks more normal, yet receiving a much sportier design.

The grille of the concept is also changed, now looking more fit in front fascia, while the hood gave away the functional air vents. Other elements have been also removed, like the exhaust tips on the side, telling thus that we might be dealing here with an electric version.

The rear also keeps the sporty proportions of the 3.0 CSL Hommage, the concept now losing the taillights and spoiler, in favor of a racing wing and elongated taillights. Overall, the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is now looking like a true and genuine racecar, but unfortunately, such a model will be never built.

As a reminder, BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage was built as a celebration of the original CS Coupe racer, especially manufactured for Karmann, first launched in 1972 and which has taken part in a lot of touring car races. And like any of the BMW concepts cars, this one is unlikely to enter the production line.
