Is the 2017 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo Better than the Upcoming M5?

While many of us are still wating for the next BMW M5 to pop-up, others have already begun inquiring whether the hardcore variant will be more impressive than the already unveiled 2017 ALpina B5 Bi-Turbo, from mechanical and performance perspectives.

The video below is asking the same question: “2017 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo – Better Than M5?” However, from my point of view, both will be real killers when will be put face-to-face.

In the meantime, while the new M5 is being prepared, the all-new 2017 Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo has made quite a buzz ever since its recent debut, the model being also highlighted in numerous tests, videos and reviews.

It is available in both the Salon and the Touring variants and are equipped with the same eye-catching ALPINA body styling elements, which separates it from the rest of the BMW products. These make it more aggressive.

In the engine department, the all-new model comes with a 4.4-liter V8 engine with Bi-Turbo technology, enabling an output of no less than pure 608 horsepower and impressive 800 Nm of torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a high-performance 8-Speed Sport-Automatic transmission with ALPINA SWITCH-TRONIC, allowing an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a mind-blowing 3.5 seconds, at a topping of 325 km/h.
